DESCRIPTION: Be prepared to save a life! Knowing how to perform
CPR and activate emergency medical services are critical lifesaving
skills that everyone should have. This 8 hour course will teach
you how to help someone who is choking, not breathing, or has suffered
cardiac arrest, as well as how to prevent injuries, recognize the
early signs of heart attack, and manage risk factors for heart
disease and stroke. CPR-C teaches the skills needed to help adults,
children and infants including two-rescuer CPR skills.

Health Care Provider (CPR-HCP)
PREREQUISITES: none
DESCRIPTION: CPR-HCP training is based on
the 2010 ILCOR Guidelines for Basic Life Support training for Health Care Providers.
This 8 hour course is intended for health care workers working in medical environments
who frequently are expected to provide CPR. CPR-HCP is designed for Health
Care Providers such as doctors, nurses and paramedics who require the Health
Care Provider CPR-C certification. Participants are taught how to recognize
circulatory emergencies; perform rescue breathing; perform one-rescuer and
two-rescuer CPR & choking procedures (for adults, children and infants);
use Automated External Defibrillators and Bag-Valve-Masks. CPR-HCP has no prerequisites
and is valid for 3 years.
